GCCSS brings classical and sacred music to south central Oklahoma by producing performances every spring and fall in Pauls Valley. Since its founding in 2021, the nonprofit arts organization has produced performances featuring professional and student soloists and musicians backed by a choir of singers from throughout Garvin County. GCCSS relies on generous gifts from individuals and businesses for its ongoing programming.
Except for Pauls Valley Opry, individual church choirs and several high school marching band, music is generally missing from our public sphere in Garvin County, Oklahoma. Jack Bowman recognized this and decided to do something about it. The music director at First Presbyterian Church at the time was the driving force behind starting a classical choir based in south central Oklahoma that would be accompanied by a small professional orchestra.

WHO ARE PATRONS? It takes money to put on this kind of performance with professional soloists and orchestra members. We plan to get financial sponsors (individuals and corporate), grants, create a group of annual patrons and sell tickets to each performance.
